Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6).

How much peace does it take to balance out the anxiety in our lives? No amount of peace can balance anxiety! There is no balancing point. God wants the peace-to-anxiety ratio in our lives to be 100 percent peace and 0 percent anxiety.

A Prayer of Peace

Lord Jesus, I thank You that You are the Prince of peace, and that You’ve promised to give me Your peace. I receive Your peace—the peace that passes all understanding, the peace that assures me of Your presence, the peace that confirms Your love, the peace that guards my every thought and every emotion.

Thank You that You came not to trouble me, but to give me rest; not to confuse me, but to give me clarity; not to bind me, but to free me; not to stress me, but to quiet me. Thank You for Your peace that endures the trials, overcomes in battles, conquers foes, and keeps me steady through storms.

Thank You, Lord, for Your complete peace, for Your perfect peace, for Your peace that keeps my heart from being troubled. Come now and fill me with Your presence. Thank You for the perfect peace that flows when I put my trust in You. Let it wash over me and flood my innermost being. Show me the ways of peace, keep me on the paths of peace, guide me in the decisions that lead to peace. Jesus, be my peace today.
