Today is Day One of the rest of your life.

In this gift book devotional, contemporary singer and songwriter Matthew West reminds you that God’s mercies are fresh every day. Yesterday’s failures, losses, and even sins are behind you and forgiven. Each day is an amazing new gift from God and should be lived with joy, grace, and gratitude.

When you do that day after day, week after week, year after year, it adds up to a lifetime of Day Ones—and the outcome of your life on earth will be a reflection of how you spent each day.

Editorial Reviews

"If you are needing encouragement...you will be blessed by this little book and the power of words."

"Matthew West's Today Is Day One is a devotional based on this music artist's beautiful song to remind us that yesterday is gone, and every new day is DAY ONE!"

"I love the title of this devotional and the song this devotion goes with. I think there is a lot of potential for it. I feel there will be many people who love this devotion. The entries are short and can be read in 5 minutes or less. I like how Matthew shares personal stories and makes the devotions easy to understand."

"Today is Day One is a devotional book perfect for those who don't have a lot of time. And to be honest, are there any of us who have an overabundant amount of spare time? The bite-sized devotions are short and easy to read while drinking your morning coffee, but what they say will stay with you all day long.

"When we pick up a devotional like this one, we aren't just finishing a book. Instead, we are allowing God into the deepest parts of our hearts and minds."

"This little book has 200 devotional readings in it. Some days are just a short paragraph or two. A couple seem to overflow a full page by a line or two.... The handful that I've read have been nice little bits to get one thinking. A bit of advice, a bit of encouragement, a bit of 'hey, you're not alone.'"

"West's message is full of grace, forgiveness, and purpose centered in God's love. The devotions are quick and easy to read. West writes with humor and an authentic voice. The devotions start with a Bible verse followed by a quick story.

I'd give this book 5 stars because it's easy to read, easy to process, and relatable to real life."

A good devotional scripture with inspirational real life incidences on the side makes it a complete package.

I’m a big fan of Matt West and devotionals. This was the best of both worlds.

I loved this devotional. It not only gives you inspiration, but Matthew West gives little insights into everyday life situations which really help to make the devotional more personal. Each devotion was just the right length for a family to share. However, the stories gave new understanding to the Scriptures. I would highly recommend this devotional.

Matthew writes as though he’s speaking to you as an individual. In an easy and straight forward manner he encourages the reader to start afresh no matter what their past. An inspirational read which reminds us it’s never too late to start anew each day.

I found this to be a very inspiring devotional, not only for the Christian insights, but also the encouraging life points Mr. West had to share about fatherhood and everyday life. The devotions were a perfect length for busy families on the go and long enough to give the reader plenty to digest. Ideal for both young and old, this devotional had me looking forward to the next day and inspired me to dig more into God’s Word.

Today Is Day One is ideal for young adults and new believers. Matthew opens the daily devotional book with a story about a young man who had received a fresh start and a new life. The rest of the book is simple and easy to read. Matthew writes as if he’s sitting with you, having coffee and talking about following Jesus.

The daily readings are short but packed with everyday Biblical truth. If you’re looking for a book to guide your daily quiet time, or you know someone just beginning to grow in Christ, I recommend Today Is Day One.

A life changing book that puts change in the hands of everyone!  A must for everyone’s devotional time and a new way to appreciate the faith.

Matthew West took his song Day One, and used the truths in the lyrics to write a devotional that will lead you into a closer relationship with God. Matthew uses stories from fans, and his experiences to encourage us, and show us that asking how God can use us is more important than why, because why is a symptom of our doubts, and how is opening ourselves up to the power of faith.

Pick this devotional up when it hits the shelves. You will be uplifted, and encouraged.
