Planted with Hope

In the second installment of the Pinecraft Pie Shop series, you’ll return to a town and a family you’ve already grown to love.

When Hope Miller is offered the plot of land behind the Me, Myself, and Pie shop to start a garden, she jumps at the chance. Finally—some space away from her four sisters! But everyone in town seems to have an opinion about what she should grow and how she should grow it. When the widower schoolteacher, Jonas Sutter, asks if his students at the Amish school can help turn the plot into a community garden, Hope only halfheartedly agrees, wondering if she will ever get the peace and quiet she craves. And will she get anything to grow?

The stories of friendship, community, and unexpected love within these pages will plant real seeds of hope within your heart.

"The characters of Planted with Hope were such a joy to get to know. Their stories fit together like the pieces of a well-designed puzzle as they each learn lessons that help them grow beyond hurts and disappointments from the past to find there is always hope for the future."

"I really enjoyed this sweet romance about a young Amish woman seeing her dream come true!... There were wise Amish proverbs to start each chapter and wonderful recipes to end them. I love the relaxing atmosphere of Pinecraft and I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I highly recommend it if you like Amish and Mennonite stories!"

"This is a sweet romance and an inspirational, upbeat story that is as sunny as its setting. I always enjoy visiting Pinecraft, even if it is just through a book."

"This series shows a lot more spiritual growth in the characters than a lot of other Amish books I've read.  There was some wonderful advice in this story, from the spiritual to relational to gardening.... The story does work as a stand-alone, but I do suggest reading book one as that was wonderful, too.  I'm excited for the next one!  I highly recommend this story."

"Tricia Goyer and Sherry Gore make a perfect team... once again to enlighten us on what the town of Pinecraft is up to. I love the characters and the stories that they tell. Great series!"

The authors, Tricia Goyer & Sherry Gore, did a great job of connecting their love of physical and spiritual foods—they are both very talented ladies. This book touched my heart and soul. The characters and their thoughts and experiences were very relatable. I could personally relate to the array of emotions and connected to the spiritual references—certainly offered me multiple opportunities for reflection! "Reading Planted with Hope by Tricia Goyer and Sherry Gore is a delightful, poignant, and satisfying experience! There are no characters in this novel; only dear friends whose lives are unfolding before you. Each friend is developed so well that you feel their pain and cheer at their triumphs."
Kate Kleinert

Tricia and Sherry make a great team as they combine their individual talents and strengths to write this series. The unique Amish setting of Pinecraft, combined with the interesting history of World War II victory gardens, provide an enjoyable backdrop for this story of hope and love."
