In the second book of the New Hope Amish series, acclaimed author Kelly Irvin spins a tale of romance, grief, and redemption deep in Amish country.

Phoebe Christner is thrilled when the families of her close-knit Amish community decide to spend a week at the lake. She feels she’s earned a break…and it doesn’t hurt that Michael Daugherty will be coming along. They’ll find ways to spend time together—she’s certain of it—and their romance will have time to blossom.

But when tragedy strikes, Phoebe and Michael are torn apart by their pain and the knowledge of their guilt. As they both cope with the loss of a loved one, they will come to discover that they are worthy not only of each other’s love, but God’s love.

A tender novel of faith and family set in the heart of Amish country.

A Word from the Author

"Love Redeemed poses the question: Is there anything God can't forgive? Writing this story was an opportunity to explore the Amish commitment—which should be the commitment of all Christians—to forgiveness. Phoebe and Michael do something seemingly innocent that results in tragedy. This is the story of their struggle to accept their community's forgiveness, to believe in God's forgiveness, and ultimately to forgive themselves. Only in doing that, are they able to find the love they so desire. This is a very personal story for me and I hope readers will find in it the hope and peace that it gives me in knowing of God's unending grace."
Kelly Irvin, author of Love Redeemed

Editorial Reviews

"Irvin describes matters of the heart with grace and empathy. She also gives readers a glimpse into the world of the Amish and shows that they are not so different from non-Amish when dealing with losing a loved one."

"I've said before that Irvin's Amish fiction transcends the genre. Her stories are so well constructed, they do not idolize or idealize the Amish, and she has a wonderful touch with painting characters that won't let you go."

"Once again, Kelly Irvin has written a powerful, moving story about the Amish of New Hope. Readers will be anxious to finish the story to discover what happens but, at the same time, will be sad to leave the characters behind at the conclusion as they have become friends. Kelly's descriptions and dialogue are flawless. Her message of forgiveness and grace are applicable to everyone. If you want a wonderful story with an important message....this is it!"
