Mieke van der Merwe is a freelance illustrator and a lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa where she recently completed her master’s degree in children’s book illustration. Mieke’s evocative drawings are inspired by vintage magazines, interesting people, and the weird and wonderful things of life.
